GHOSTS OF THE MUNDANE
“Ghosts of the Mundane” is a thought-provoking art and collectible design exhibition presented at French Nathalie Karg Annex Gallery, curated by Architect and Interior Designer Crina Arghirescu Rogard, in collaboration with Art and Design Advisor Aurore Vullierme. This show features the imaginative works of visionary artists Elsa Sahal, Roxane Revon, Faustine Badrichani, Crina Arghirescu, Rich Aybar, Mr. Liz Hopkins, Liz Collins, Thomas Van Noten, Claudia Doring Baez, Nathlie Provosty, Marta Pierobon, Nathalie Sann Regnault, amongst others. While uniquely reinterpreting everyday elements, they challenge the viewer’s perception of the impermanence and memories associated with common objects, revealing their hidden stories. Each featured design piece in the exhibition holds finishes and shapes that surprise and delight, revealing the invisible spirits and untold tales that linger within the mundane. The artists skill-fully juxtapose everyday items that evoke the fleeting, ghostly presence of their former purposes and meanings, creating functional art that challenges conventional design. Several pieces invite viewer interaction, encouraging a deeper engagement with the art and its underlying concepts.
